The Flowserve pumps will be used in patented immersion cooling units designed by TMGcore. The pumps will circulate dielectric fluids, which enable heat dissipation and cooling of servers within single-phase immersion cooled units.
Unlike traditional data centres, today’s applied sciences like synthetic intelligence, deep studying, the Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing require a significantly greater amount of data to be processed – increasing the necessity for increased server capacity. As stakeholders look to reduce vitality consumption in data centres, there’s a growing demand for immersion cooling know-how. Immersion cooling can handle higher heat masses in high-density servers at a minimal price, and it’s also more energy efficient than traditional air cooling.
“Liquid cooling has dramatically more capability to take away heat than air cooling and has been confirmed to be simpler. A critical component of immersion-cooled models are commercial-grade pumps that move and recirculate fluid,” explains John-David Enright Sr, CEO of TMGcore. “Flowserve has demonstrated each its commitment to this sustainability-friendly know-how and its quality of customer support to us as a business buyer.”
Flowserve says that the partnership represents a step ahead in its market diversification.
“This actually exemplifies the dynamic capabilities of our pumps, and we are proud to participate in enabling the way forward for data centres,” said Tamara Morytko, president of Flowserve’s Pumps division. “As we pursue diversified markets in support of our progress strategy, we’re committed to continued innovation with our current and future customers in thoughts.”
