Sulzer launches world’s biggest medium-consistency pump

Sulzer has introduced the launch of the world’s largest medium-consistency pump, the MCE93-400, which has been built in response to customer demand for greater production charges in pulp mills.
The pumping of liquids with a high dry solids content – medium consistency – is crucial for processes within the pulp and paper industry.
In current years, production rates have spiralled. As a result, Sulzer developed the MCE93-400 for a customer venture with record-breaking values.
The capability of the pump reaches up to 10,000 air dry metric tonnes per day with the circulate as a lot as 940 l/s and the pinnacle up to one hundred eighty m. The MCE pump is designed for a stress ranking of 25 bar.
Jussi Heinonen, product supervisor for MC gear at Sulzer, mentioned: “The new MCE93-400 has been designed to function efficiently, saving energy, water and chemical costs in pulp and paper mill processes. เพชเชอร์เกจ of the pump minimise its life cycle costs.”
The first massive MCE pumps have been dispatched to a major pulp producer in South America.
